Engagement & Wedding Facts You Did Not Know
December was just here and how many got engaged?
According to this statistic, December is the most popular month for an engagement with a proposal rate of 19%. With just under 10%, the summer months are also a quite popular choice for this event.
What people may not know is the most popular season for weddings is summer, followed closely by fall. January and February are slow months for weddings, and once spring rolls around wedding season begins to speed up fast with the influx of summer and fall weddings. I can remember back in the day when June was the typical wedding month. I personally think we have moved into more meaningful wedding dates, such as using a grandparent's wedding anniversary date or something special in a couple’s love story.
I just had the sweetest couple Super Bowl Weekend, they had met one year ago at a Super bowl party in 2021 and that same time in 2022 was their wedding weekend. This family-oriented couple had the groom's father as the best-man. The groom said he is my best friend and been there for me since day one, so there was no one better man to stand next to me than my father. He as well told me it his father that stood next to his grandfather on his wedding day. They had a beautiful reception at Spain Ranch and wedding ceremony at Asbury with a little planning help from Whitney at XO Event Co, great people and no details missed.
Congratulations to the Knippers!
When it comes to planning your big day, professional wedding planners or event planners are ideal! Let them take all the stress away and no details will be missed. We love collaborating with planners and can recommend many. I recommend you meet with a few in person to see if your vibe well together. Yes, it is a VIBE thing!
So, what is the average money spent on a wedding? I found this interesting little article by Statista that the average amount for a wedding in the United States amounted to about 33,900 U.S. dollars in 2019.
Keep in mind 2019 and we are into 2022 with much inflation on everything. We all know the COVID-19 hit the event industry and everyone big time in
2020. I will be checking for updated numbers on this stat in a year to see how much it changed.
Spring is around the corner, and we are preparing for a busy spring of weddings and corporate events too. Reserve early as this year it set to break world records for the number of weddings performed since the 1980s. Most people do not know this fact, but we have just a $200.00 retainer required to reserve, and that retainer does go toward the balance. Also, many do not know, we have just a one hour minimum on weddings.
What else is coming up for, Old Urban Trolley?
