It has only been a few months so far… but 2020 has been a YEAR! The impacts of COVID-19 on this state, country, and planet have been heartbreaking to witness. My heart goes out to anyone who has been affected. At the Trolley Barn, we have experienced a lot of lows. The first few weeks in March were the hardest, and I’m pretty sure I stress-gained a few pounds too. But, no matter. We are resilient!

We deep cleaned the entire Trolley Barn, and we have been running all of our equipment for at least an hour per week. We have scrubbed the inside and outside of the entire fleet, and continue to do so. This really isn’t anything new for us – we have been taking care of our vehicles this way for 13 years! The only difference is, now we are cleaning them repeatedly – not because they were recently used, but because we can!

As for me, I’ve been keeping myself busy. We rebuilt our chicken coop (we have five hens!), and it looks great! Those gals are so much fun. I planted a nice garden, made homemade jelly, and baked quite a bit, too.

I even discovered TikTok!! This may be my favorite quarantine find so far. So entertaining!

But more seriously, though, over these last thirty or so days, I have exercised more, gotten more rest, made a point to drink more water, and continued to remind myself that I cannot stress over happenings that are beyond my control. I can protect my family, protect myself, and wait. The future is unknown, but I am hopeful that some level of “normal” will return to life soon, even if we have to be more cautious moving forward.

As for our Trolley business, we are taking reservations for this fall (2020), all of 2021, and all of 2022. If you had a reservation with us that was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, all clients have one year to re-book their events and transfer their deposits to the new reservation date. We have contacted everyone at this point, but I wanted to share in case anyone missed it!

We also have gift certificates available for our Tours of Tulsa and Christmas Light Tours. These are wonderful to give as gifts or to keep for yourself. We would love to see your faces when it is safe to open back up!
