Season of Change

Eighteen years. Wow! My 18th year as an entrepreneur is here, and I can hardly believe it.

When I started this business, I was 38 and terrified. It was a huge investment, and after three failed marriages, I wondered—why did I think I could run and operate a business? I knew there were doubters. I knew there were whispers. But I pushed forward anyway. And I am so proud to say I did it… and I’m still doing it!

You may have seen a recent social media post introducing my son, Jared. Over the past 10 months, he’s stepped in to learn the ropes of Old Urban Trolley, and he’s taken over my driving duties. That means you’ll see less of me behind the wheel and more of him in that driver’s seat. But don’t worry—I’m still deeply involved in all of our events, and you just might spot me at yours.

No, Jared hasn’t purchased the company (at least not yet!). He still works his full-time job, but he also shows up here with heart and commitment. He has a wife, Brittany, and two children. And speaking of Brittany—you may see her at events, too. She’s a gem who’s always ready to lend a hand and loves working alongside Jared when needed.

We still have our fantastic team—Tommy, Doug, Jerry, and Megan—who represent us so well. I am genuinely grateful for each of them. They’ve allowed me to step back a little and enjoy some travel time with my husband before he retires.

And during this season of change, we also bought a new vehicle—our beautiful Mercedes Sprinter. I named her The Tulsan because, well, Tulsa built this business, and I think that deserves recognition. She’s a plush, 13-passenger ride with a separate luggage compartment. Perfect for an airport run, a night on the town, or a special event, we can load you up and get you wherever you want. Please let us know if you have any plans.

We’ve been involved in and will be involved in some exciting, fun, and family-friendly recent and upcoming events. With Fall just around the corner, Christmas light tours are already filling up fast. Through Tours of Tulsa: Professionally Guided Tours of Tulsa, OK, we offer all kinds of experiences. We even did a recent branding shoot with the fabulous Brittney Ashton Photo.

In the office, I’m busy planning weddings for Fall 2025 and 2026 and preparing for the Route 66 Centennial — Oklahoma Route 66 Association next year. On top of that, I’ve been invited to attend the Women in Leadership Conference in 2025 and to speak at the 2026 event—EEEKKK!

So yes, I’m still a busy bee—just not in the driver’s seat as much. And I’m grateful, beyond words, for every single one of you who has supported this journey. I look forward to hearing from you soon and handling your transportation needs!

Hugs,
XOXO, Trolleylady
